Behringer RD-8 / RD-9 30° Fitted Wedge Stands | Desktop Drum Machine Supports
Two purpose-designed wedges. One better working position for your Rhythm Designer.
The Studio Solutions RD-8 / RD-9 30° Wedge Stands provide a straightforward way to position your Behringer drum machine at a comfortable angle without introducing a bulky supporting frame.
Designed around the chassis of the Behringer RD-8 and RD-9, these independent supports provide a fitted resting position for your instrument, raising its control surface for clearer viewing and easier access during sequencing, programming and performance.
Each wedge uses a reinforced triangular structure with shaped locating features at the front and rear. Together, they create a practical, stable desktop arrangement while leaving the space beneath your drum machine open.
Designed to Fit the Instrument
The chassis determines the shape of the support.
Unlike universal desktop wedges that simply rest beneath a piece of equipment, these supports have been developed around the form of the RD-8 / RD-9 chassis.
Each wedge incorporates a shaped upper supporting surface with raised locating features at either end.
The front retaining lip helps resist forward movement, while the rear locating feature helps position the instrument within the support.
This gives the drum machine a defined resting position rather than relying entirely on a flat, friction-based surface.
A Practical 30° Working Angle
The RD-8 and RD-9 are hands-on drum machines, with extensive sound-shaping controls and a 16-step sequencer designed to be operated directly.
The fixed 30° incline brings those controls into clearer view without positioning the machine excessively upright.
It's particularly useful when:
Programming patterns and working with the step sequencer
Adjusting individual drum voices and sound parameters
Using the instrument behind a keyboard or another piece of studio equipment
Building an organised hardware-based production workstation
Keeping the control surface visible while working with multiple machines
The angle also reduces the horizontal space occupied by the instrument compared with placing it flat on your desk.
Independent Wedge Construction
No connecting rails. No unnecessary framework.
The stand consists of two separate supporting wedges, positioned beneath the drum machine.
Each support incorporates a triangular framework with an internal diagonal reinforcement, helping maintain its shape under the instrument's weight.
This independent design offers several practical advantages:
The supports can be positioned beneath the appropriate sections of the chassis
There are no full-width rails occupying space beneath the instrument
The open structure leaves room around cables and connections
The pair can be removed or repositioned without dismantling a larger frame
The result is a simple, functional design that provides support where it's needed.
