Behringer RD-8 / RD-9 60° Stand | Desktop Drum Machine Stand

£26.99

A more upright position for your Behringer Rhythm Designer. Built around the equipment, not a generic desktop platform.

The Studio Solutions 60° Desktop Stand is designed for the Behringer RD-8 and RD-9 drum machines, providing a steep, space-saving position for hardware sequencing, sound design and studio use.

Both machines have extensive hands-on control surfaces, from their 16-step sequencers to individual drum sound controls. When they're sitting flat on a desk, particularly behind other equipment, the controls can be harder to see and access.

Our 60° stand addresses this by bringing the control surface into a more upright position, making it easier to see what you're doing while reducing the space the drum machine occupies on your desk.

Designed Around the RD-8 / RD-9 Chassis

The shape of the equipment determines the design of the stand.

Rather than resting your drum machine on a universal angled shelf, the stand uses supporting sections developed around the chassis profile of the compatible Behringer RD-8 and RD-9.

The supports sit beneath the instrument, with raised retaining lips at the front to help resist forward movement.

This is particularly important with a 60° stand, where the weight of the instrument places greater demands on the retaining features than it would at a shallow angle.

The result is a compact arrangement that supports the drum machine without unnecessarily enclosing its chassis.

Why 60°?

The 60° version is intended for musicians who want their drum machine positioned more upright, rather than lying across a large section of their desktop.

It's particularly useful for:

  • Multi-instrument setups: Positioning the RD-8 or RD-9 behind other equipment while keeping its control surface visible.

  • Step sequencing: Keeping the pattern buttons and sequencer indicators in clear view.

  • Sound programming: Making individual drum controls easier to see when working with several instruments.

  • Desktop organisation: Reducing the horizontal space occupied by the drum machine.

  • Dedicated hardware workstations: Creating a more structured arrangement of synthesizers, drum machines and controllers.

This is a steep presentation angle rather than a conventional flat playing position. Consider how you normally operate your drum machine before choosing it.

Open Supporting Structure

The stand uses a compact supporting arrangement, leaving much of the underside and rear of the instrument accessible.

This provides room for the RD-8 or RD-9's connections and cable routing without requiring a large enclosed platform.

The angled support sections incorporate front retaining features to help locate the instrument at the intended position.
