The TB-3 places its pressure-sensitive touchpad at the centre of the instrument. It is used for playing notes, entering patterns, controlling pitch and volume, applying modulation and triggering real-time performance effects.
When the instrument sits completely flat, the touch surface and upper controls can become harder to see and reach, particularly when the TB-3 is positioned towards the rear of a busy studio desk.
The S30 raises the complete instrument to a fixed 30-degree angle, presenting the touchpad, display, knobs and pattern controls directly towards the user.
This makes the stand particularly effective for hands-on acid bassline performance. Pattern selection, real-time recording, touch gestures, filter adjustments and Scatter effects can all be operated from a clearer and more natural position.
The Roland TB-3 measures approximately 240mm wide and 173mm from front to rear.
The S30 measures 200mm wide, with approximately 170 mm running along each angled equipment support.
The TB-3 chassis is approximately 173 mm deep, so it extends slightly beyond the approximately 170 mm inclined supports. Check the underside feet and front lip position against the photographs. When centred, there is only around 20mm of normal side overhang on either side.
The result is a particularly compact and well-balanced match for the S30 format.
The connected open-frame construction leaves useful space beneath and behind the TB-3. Power, USB, MIDI, audio output and headphone cables remain accessible while the instrument stays installed and ready to use.
Raised front retaining lips help prevent the TB-3 moving forwards during touchpad performance and control changes.
Rubber feet beneath the stand protect the desktop and help prevent the frame moving. Anti-slip equipment contact spots are also fitted as standard across our open-format stand range.
