Unlike a connected stand with a fixed overall width, the two wedges can be positioned independently. Place them closer together beneath a narrow instrument or spread them further apart to support wider equipment.
This also allows the wedges to be positioned around rubber feet, ventilation openings, battery covers and uneven sections on the underside of the equipment.
